THE WORLD IN MY HAND

Nearly two decades after the revolutionary technological development of the smartphone, the exhibition explores its impact on contemporary art. In the BlackBox, around 50 artworks by 35 different artists are presented, predominantly consisting of glass sculptures and contemporary photographs. Among the exhibited works is also the piece iPhone 09.01.2007, 2017 by Brigitte Kowanz from the Stadler Collection.

24! QUESTIONS FOR THE CONCRETE PRESENT

The exhibition at the MKK explores the origins, present and future of Concrete Art. The term was first formulated 100 years ago. This anniversary provides an opportunity to ask today's generation of young artists who are stylistically close to this movement about their relationship to Concrete Art. Among the 12 selected positions is the artist Toulu Hassani. Two of her works from the Stadler Collection will be on display.

Textiles and Ceramics in Contemporary Art

On display are works by around 40 Austrian and international artists who use craft techniques such as embroidery, knotting, and weaving, as well as sculpting, wedging, and firing in their artistic practice. Also on display are four works by Russian textile designer Anna Andreeva, including Exercise with Northern Embroideries, 1979 from the Stadler Collection

As part of the Shanghai Biennale, 12 Cosmos works by Anna Andreeva will be exhibited. Among them is the work 1/2 of the Moon, 1961 from the Stadler Collection.

TOULU HASSANI - AND SO ON TO INFINITY

Exhibition of the August Macke Prize winner

The artist Toulu Hassani was awarded the August Macke Prize of the Hochsauerland district in 2022 and is now showing her works at the Sauerland Museum in Arnsberg. Among the works on display are two from the Stadler Collection.
